About Michigan Hunt and Fish
A print journal on the web, made in Michigan for the people who hunt, fish and look after its places.
Michigan Hunt and Fish is a magazine about the places and the people of outdoor Michigan. Four seasonal issues a year read like a printed journal, and a daily news desk keeps up with the DNR, the water and the woods in between.
What we publish
- The Issues. Four a year, each with a cover story, a portfolio of photographs and a letter from the editor.
- The Daily Desk. News and explainers every weekday, and every DNR notice in plain English beside the document it came from.
- Guides, reviews and recipes. Each one checked, dated and reviewed again before its season.
- Landmarks. A map of places worth the drive: Editor’s Picks nobody pays for, and Landmark Partners who do, always labeled.
- Two newsletters. The Sunday Almanac, the reader, and The Daily Dispatch, the news. Both free.
How we work
We say where our facts come from. A DNR date appears only with the DNR document beside it. Reviews carry no star scores; they say how we got the gear and how long we used it. When we get something wrong, we fix it at the top of the story and list it on the corrections page. Our editorial policy and partnership standards set out the rest.
Who we are
Michigan Hunt and Fish is published by Fan Driven Media LLC. Write to us any time through the contact page: tips go to the desk, letters to the editor, and a person reads every message.
